Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring that all products are prepared, baked, and presented to the highest standards. This role requires a passion for baking and an understanding of food safety regulations, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation and production of baked goods, including breads, pastry, and cakes.
• Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality in all products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards.
• Morning shift may need to start working at 5 AM in the early morning. Mainly the task is to help the head baker prepare ingredients, bake breads and pastry, and finish packing baked products.
• Day shift may need to start working at 6:30 AM in the morning. Mainly the task is to help the head baker prepare ingredients, bake cakes and pastry, assemble and finish decorating cakes, and pack baked products.
• Support the head baker in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
• Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Skills

• Knowledge of food safety practices, experience in food preparation and production, familiarity with baking techniques and equipment are a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high volume environment
• Self-motivated achiever interested in taking on additional roles and responsibilities

Pay: $14.50 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
