POSITION CLASS STATUS: Full time, Hourly
TIME OF WORK: Varied schedule as specified by supervisor-some weekend and evening hours may be required.
POSITION GOAL/FUNCTION:
Responsible for training individuals with disabilities in the areas of vocational skills, job specific duties, behavioral and social-skills development, and positive work ethics, in accordance with Individual Employment Plans and Individual Service Plans.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY)
- Timely and consistent attendance.
- Supervise individuals with disabilities at various integrated community job sites to assist and support their training needs toward an outcome of successful long-term employment
- Assist in developing and implementing individual service plans in coordination with individuals with disabilities and their ISP team.
- Responsible for transporting clients.
- Complete and maintain all documents required by funding sources and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor and supervise workers regarding workplace safety in community workplace settings.
- Participate in person centered planning process with program participants.
- Participate in staff and organization meetings as required.
- Participate in all staff training and in-service sessions.
- Complete daily service documentation.
- Implement the Individual Service Plan (ISP) as written.
- Work with individuals to promote socialization and establish relationships with peers by assisting them with desired recreational and social activities within their surrounding community.
- Maintain confidentiality of information relating to individuals in accordance with HIPAA policies.
- Treat individuals, families, co-workers and outside parties with respect and dignity.
- Always maintain safety of individuals.
- May be required to provide programming in classrooms as directed by your supervisor.

Requirements:REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSAs): Any combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of: OSHA safety rules and procedures (to be developed during probation period). Agency policies and procedures. OOD and DODD policies and procedures.
Skills in: Interacting with people; ability to work in changing work environments from week to week.
Ability to: Push, pull, lift, and transport items of up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally; have full range of motion in upper body; bending and lifting required. Ability to recognize unusual or threatening conditions related to persons with disabilities. Stand, sit, or walk for lengthy periods of time.
QUALIFICATIONS/LICENSE(S) REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- As required by law or rule, must successfully pass a criminal background check through BCII and ODODD Abuse Registry check.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment physical exam including a drug test.
- Must successfully pass DOT physical.
- Must be registered by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities.
- Active, valid driver’s license and car insurance is required.
- Must maintain driving record in accordance with Greene, Inc. policy.
- Must successfully complete 180-day probation period.
- Successful completion of Supported Employment Training.
- Must obtain CESP (Certified Employment Support Professional) Certification within 18-months of employment.
- Use of smart phone technology and GPS.
- Safe operation of 14 passenger transit bus.
- Able to drive in inclement weather conditions such as rain, snow, and wind.
EQUIPMENT USED:
May be required to use personal vehicle for travel. May be required to be trained in the use of various and differing type of equipment and machinery in order to then train individuals with disabilities on the job. As a DSP Substitute, you will be required to operate and drive a bus, computer, assistive technology, maxi lift and other assistive apparatuses, augmented communication devices.
