We are looking for a professional who has at least TWO YEARS of dental billing knowledge. This is an office setting and not a remote role. As we add to our billing team, this person will share responsible for the central billing of our 6 dental offices. A problem solver with excellent communication skills is desired.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for submission, posting, appeals, and follow on up on all dental insurance claim payments for multiple dental offices
- Monitors patient accounts, collects and posts payments from insurance companies and provides information to patients as needed
- Ensure all claims are submitted with a goal of zero errors, verifying completeness and accuracy of all claims prior to submission
- Timely follow up on insurance claim denials, exceptions or exclusions, communicating with offices and patients to acquire necessary missing information
- Reading and interpreting insurance explanation of benefits
- Utilize monthly aging accounts receivable reports to follow up on unpaid claims
- Send monthly patient billing statements and follow up on overdue/unpaid patient account balances according to office billing guidelines
- Reconcile patient accounts with necessary adjustments, write-offs, discounts, or notes as required
- Respond to inquiries from insurance companies, patients and providers
- Entering data using dental practice management software for multiple dental offices
- Commit to serving as a business partner for the practices by collaborating and developing financial and account receivable goals, and resolving reimbursement issues or billing obstacles
Required Skills/Abilities:
- High school diploma
- Excellent communication skills preferred
- Proficient with data entry preferred
- Dental coding and terminology experience preferred
- Dental insurance and billing experience preferred
- Knowledge of dental insurance plans and carriers
- Previous experience with dental practice software
- Self-sufficiency and multitasking experience preferred
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments
