This role will report to the VP of Finance and is based in San Jose, CA, operating fully on-site. Role and ResponsibilitiesFinancial Analysis and ReportingAutomate key financial processes while ensuring data accuracy and generating meaningful insights.Forecasting and BudgetingAssist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect data and inputs for budgeting and forecasting.Process Automation and Data ManagementLead initiatives to automate and optimize financial planning and reporting processes.Utilize tools such as Excel, QuickSite, Tableau, and other financial software to build insightful dashboards with key performance indicators.Maintain and enhance financial models to support forecasting, planning, and strategic decision-making.Financial Modeling and Business InsightsDevelop and manage complex financial models to aid strategic business decisions.Provide analytical support for financial decision-making, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI assessment, and scenario planning.Collaboration and Stakeholder ManagementWork closely with teams across finance, including accounting, treasury, and business finance, to ensure consistency in reporting and alignment of financial objectives.Partner with business leaders to analyze operational performance and provide actionable financial insights.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to enhance financial processes, tools, and systems.Contribute to ad-hoc projects aimed at improving financial reporting efficiency and accuracy. Skills and ExperienceFinancial Analysis and ReportingStrong experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting, with the ability to interpret large datasets and derive actionable insights.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modeling).Familiarity with financial systems such as Oracle.Automation and Data VisualizationExpertise in automating financial processes and creating interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau.Experience with coding or scripting for process automation (e.g., Python, VBA, SQL) is a plus.Communication and Business PartneringExcellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.Strong ability to collaborate and build relationships across teams.Problem-Solving and Critical ThinkingStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify trends, issues, and opportunities in financial data.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.Attention to DetailHigh level of precision, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial data.Educational RequirementsBachelor’s degree (BS / BA) in Accounting or a related field.CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.Key CompetenciesDetail-Oriented : Ensures accuracy in financial data and reporting.Self-Starter : Takes initiative to solve problems, improve processes, and drive automation.Team-Oriented : Works collaboratively to achieve shared goals.Adaptability : Thrives in a dynamic, fast-changing environment. Equal Opportunity StatementBloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer, making employment decisions based on merit.
