Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Store Directors’ duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop store staff to create a high-performing team.
- Oversee staff scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage during all operating hours.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Facilitate ongoing training and development programs for staff.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and state regulations regarding cannabis sales.
Operations and Compliance:
- Monitor daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory control processes are followed.
- Oversee the handling of cash and credit card transactions, ensuring adherence to secure cash management procedures.
- Stay current on state and local cannabis laws and ensure store compliance with all regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and address any discrepancies or operational issues.
Customer Experience:
- Foster a welcoming and professional environment for customers.
- Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure that all staff deliver exceptional customer service to enhance the overall shopping experience.
- Educate customers about products, responsible use, and harm reduction strategies when necessary.
Sales and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze sales performance to meet or exceed store targets.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement strategies to drive sales and improve store performance.
