Position Overview
The Tree Care Manager will be responsible for managing and selling tree care services while ensuring high-quality customer service. Reporting directly to the Associate Branch Manager, this individual will oversee sales, team management, and operational efficiency, ensuring all work meets company standards and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of tree care sales and direct reports.
- Attend homeowners' meetings and pre-bid meetings as necessary.
- Recruit, interview, and evaluate potential employees.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Ensure quality processes and results align with contract agreements, customer expectations, and company profitability.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and leads within the assigned territory.
- Present bids and negotiate contract renewals with clients.
- Schedule and maintain regular appointments with prospects to drive new business.
- Utilize company-established sales techniques to pre-qualify potential customers.
- Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities, appointments, and account management.
- Adhere to company policies, including confidentiality and proprietary information agreements.
- Collaborate with the Regional Branch Manager on annual goals, growth projections, and personnel planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Certified Arborist License required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients, employees, and managers effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project Manager, etc.).
- Must possess a valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including exposure to dust, pollen, chemicals, and noise typical of the tree care industry.
- Occasional office-based tasks using standard equipment such as computers and photocopiers.
- Flexibility to work after hours or on weekends as needed.
