What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Nurse position at Bloom Pediatrics?
We are seeking both part- and full-time RNs with pediatric experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is professional, caring, energetic and positive with a strong work ethic and desire to participate in out-of-office community based events.
Minimum 1-year clinical experience in a pediatric setting preferred. RN license is mandatory.
The main job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Demonstrate leadership with clinical staff.
Establish the reputation of a “go-to” person in the office for providers, medical assistants, customer service team, etc.
Phone triage and written correspondence (via the patient portal) with parents including discussion of health concerns and recommendations for illness management, improvement, and prevention.
Follow up with lab results, specialist reports, etc. and direct to the appropriate physician.
Assist in scheduling lab tests, x-rays, and specialist appointments when requested by a physician.
Follow up with parents/patients following ER/hospital visits.
Refill/review medications with physician instruction.
Establishing an in-person relationship with newborn parents during their first office visit.
In-office venipuncture when requested by a physician.
Participation in community events including, but not limited to: flu clinics, blood drives, and other family and/or children-focused, sponsored events.
COVID and annual flu vaccines are required.
