What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fertility RN position at Bloom Reproductive Institute?
We are seeking a highly-skilled RN to join our compassionate team and provide comprehensive and empathetic patient care on our patients' fertility journey. The IVF Nurse Coordinator will work closely with the physician to manage patients plan of care, communicate directly with patients as their first-line of support, and occasionally assist with in-office procedures. Some fertility experience is preferred. An optimistic attitude, along with strong organizational, written and verbal skills is required. Job duties are as follows:
- Meet with patients to coordinate upcoming treatment plans for IVF and FET cycles, including: review of requirements, calendars, and medications
- Educate patients on IVF procedures, treatment protocols, medication, and injections
- Communicate with physician any patient related issues, ultrasound findings and lab results
- Schedule patients as needed to ensure completion of requirements for planned treatments
- Provide daily telephone calls/triage to patients informing of lab results, coordinating appointments, and communicating therapy changes
- Document office visits, telephone calls, emails, and lab results in a timely manner
- Prepare/Recover patients that undergo procedures including: Oocyte retrieval, Embryo Transfer, and Hysteroscopy
- Provide compassion and emotional support and counseling to patients throughout the IVF experience
- Other duties as assigned
