Series B enterprise software startup is looking for a Head of Experience, Events & Office Operations. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside their multi-time Founder and establish the company's Bay Area presence for customer engagement and community building. In this role, you'll lead the complete buildout of their office space while providing high-touch relationship management and creating an event program that brings together executives, founders, and industry leaders through intimate dinners, fireside chats, larger conferences, and podcasts. Someone who can manage various projects while designing memorable and creative experiences that make customers and partners feel special from the moment they walk in. This is a primarily in-office role based in San Francisco with some outside hours for events required. 150-190K DOE equity, benefits, and flexible PTO.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the buildout of the new San Francisco office, including locating the office, negotiating with brokers, and collaborating with designers, architects, and IT contractors.
- Create an innovative hybrid space that functions as a daily office with event capabilities and collaboration areas.
- Serve as initial Office Manager, overseeing daily operations and maintaining an exceptional working environment.
- Create and implement protocols for hosting visitors, ensuring a premium experience for all guests.
- Orchestrate a diverse portfolio of events, from intimate executive dinners and fireside chats to large-scale conferences.
- Manage end-to-end event logistics including venue selection, guest lists and invites, vendor management, catering coordination, guest experience, and brand representation.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, venues, and service providers.
- Track event metrics and gather feedback to continuously improve experiences and ensure follow-up.
- Serve as a key representative for the CEO and the company's high-profile customers and partners.
- Develop and maintain a network tracking system to identify and engage key relationships for events and partnerships.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with venture capital firms and limited partners.
- Develop and execute gifting programs including annual gifts and ongoing touch points.
Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in event management, operations, or similar roles.
- Preference for previous experience in startup/venture or knowledge of industry.
- Proven track record of managing events and experiences from end to end.
- Experience working with C-level executives and VIP stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high standards for quality.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with office build-outs and vendor management.
- Strong knowledge of the San Francisco Bay Area is preferred.
