Hi, I’m Natalie Dusome, Founder and CEO of Poppy & Peonies, a fun and energetic brand that believes styles and function should co-exist. We’re passionate about creating practical pieces that help make life a little easier and lighten the load, literally.
Building Poppy & Peonies has been a wild adventure. The journey began when my daughter Poppy was born and my accessories no longer worked with my new life as a mom, I needed bags with pockets and organization that looked cool and had functionality. I couldn’t find it, so I decided to create it, and in 2015 Poppy & Peonies was born.
We’ve come a long way in five years – from filling orders in my basement to appearing on Dragons’ Den, and now, expanding into new product categories and collaborating with some exciting influencers and brands. I’d be lying if I said it’s been nothing but smooth sailing, but thanks to our incredible community, we’ve never felt more loved and supported!
We believe in our responsibility to care for our environment and we are passionate about preserving the health and welfare of our planet, and the animals that live on it. All of our bags are made from high-quality vegan leather, and our entire product line is vegan, cruelty-free, and PETA-approved. We ship our products plastic-free and we use a combination of recycled, compostable, and biodegradable materials to mitigate shipping waste, and we are constantly looking for new ways to make our products and supply chain more sustainable to reduce our carbon footprint.
About the Role
As our Sr. Marketing Manager, you are the owner of Poppy & Peonies’ brand marketing.
Reporting directly into the VP of Marketing, Sola, you’ll be responsible for positioning the Poppy & Peonies brand effectively in the market, driving continued social growth, concepting and executing photo-shoots, engaging customers across all touch points, and driving business growth through well-executed marketing strategies. As the Sr. Marketing Managers role it will be your role to keep Poppy & Peonies brand exciting to our customers - whether through social media, influencer marketing, digital advertising, email marketing, content marketing, and partnerships. You are a key leader on the marketing team and will support with crafting and executing the overall marketing strategy for Poppy & Peonies.

\n- Developing and executing integrated marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and sales growth for our e-commerce platform.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, design, operations) to ensure marketing campaigns align with overall business objectives.
- Enhancing and maintaining the brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
- Managing the in-house content creation, supporting social and email content trends.
- Leading and scaling Poppy & Peonies social platforms, managing social calendars, briefs, and content plans.
- Supporting the marketing team with preparing and hosting brand and customer events.
- Planning and producing photoshoots that capture our brand, managing everything from concept development to execution, planning and booking locations, hiring talent, coordinating with photographers & other creatives, and overseeing styling.
- Monitoring and analyzing the performance of marketing initiatives, providing regular reports to the senior leadership team and making data-driven adjustments as needed.
- Collaborating with the marketing and social media teams to brainstorm and execute creative campaigns.
- Managing multiple projects and deliverables, meeting deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- You are a well-rounded marketer from the fashion or consumer products space with leadership experience (leading both strategy and people).
- You have a genuine passion for fashion and consumer products, with a keen eye for trends and aesthetics.
- You have 5 years of experience in a marketing management role and leading multiple people to excellence.
- You possess strong creative and strategic thinking skills, with a proven ability to develop compelling marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- You are experienced in managing and producing photoshoots and other creative outlets for product photography; ensuring high-quality visual content that aligns with brand standards.
- You have a deep understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, and emerging marketing technologies.
- You have a strong understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram and TikTok, and their visual content requirements.
- You have strong analytical skills and can translate data into actionable insights.
- You’re a collaborative team player who can brainstorm with others.
- You’re flexible and can adapt to changing priorities on the go.
- You are detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- This is a hybrid role based in Vancouver, Canada, and will require travel into our office, as well as, domestic or international travel for photoshoots, events, and team retreats.
- At this time, we are only considering candidates based in West Coast, Canada for this role. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to explore other opportunities with us in the future if you're located outside of this area.
- Annual Salary ranges from $120,000-$140,000 CAD
- 3 weeks of paid vacation per year
- 5 additional flex days
