PROGRAM MANAGER OF PEER SUPPORT SERVICES

SUMMARY: As the Program Manager of Peer Support Services you will elevate BLOOM365’s peer to peer programs and services by developing a Peer Support Specialist program, strengthening school-based multidisciplinary Coordinated Community Response Teams (CCRT’s), and maintaining school-based partnerships through the delivery of BLOOM365’s 7- Dose Curriculum and Real Talk Peer Support groups in partner high schools and organizations across Maricopa County, Arizona.
PRIMARY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Develop a Peer Support Specialist program per the STOP grant implementation plan and timeline to enhance the well-being of young survivors and victims
o Plan and coordinate CCRT meetings in Ombudsman and Phoenix Union High School District schools to strengthen communication and collaboration to elevate safety, healing and support for students impacted by interpersonal violence.
o Collaborate with CCRT members to review cases and all school reports of teen dating violence/sexual assault to ensure policies and protocols are followed.
o Schedule the 7-Dose Curriculum for students within partner schools, building and maintaining relationships with the health education teachers, school counselors, administrators, etc.
o Plan and coordinate BLOOM365 Real Talk Peer Support Groups in community and school based sites.
o Provide back-up 7-Dose and Real Talk Peer Support Group facilitation support as needed. o Disseminate BLOOM365 resources and Trusted Adult Ally toolkits, including information on advocacy and counseling services for youth, to school personnel across the state. o Ensure students dislcosing victimization are referred to appropriate internal support and external resources.
o Collect, organize and analyze program output and outcome data.
o Complete and submit all necessary STOP grant reports.
o Collaborate with all BLOOM365 staff ensure a seamless delivery of services. o Serve on the program management team.
o Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
o Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Education, Public Health or other relevant field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
o 2 years of program coordination experience, preferably in a high impact environment that provides services to teens and young adults
o 1 year experience in the victim services field, providing advocacy, crisis intervention and/or counseling support to domestic/sexual/teen dating violence survivors highly preferred o Ability to connect with teens on their level
o Comfortable and competent with coordinating multiple tasks
o Ability to motivate and support program partners
o Strong relationship building and collaboration skills
o Knowledge of Maricopa County, Arizona resources. Familiar with surrounding high school districts.
o Competency and experience with various computer software related to online learning, word processing, data-tracking, and desktop publishing including Microsoft Office. o Strong communication, organizational, and facilitation skills
o Current Level 1 fingerprint clearance card
o Valid Driver’s License and clear driving record
o Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
o Successful completion of: a qualifying 40-hour Domestic Violence Victim Advocacy Training, Arizona Victim’s Rights Training, 7-Dose Curriculum and the 3 R’s Trusted Adult Ally Training, CPR Certification, and SAFETalk.
ANNUAL OUTPUT/OUTCOME GOALS:
1. Train, certify and activate 10 Peer Support Specialists a year to facilitate Real Talk Peer Support program activities as outlined in the STOP grant implementation plan. 2. Provide a minimum of 1,000 underserved youth across Arizona with information on interpersonal violence prevention through various outreach activities, education lessons, and awareness campaigns, resulting in 100* or more youth self- identifying as victims and requesting and/or receiving help, annually.
3. Train 50 or more Arizona Peer Advocates, between the ages of 16 and 24, on how to provide L.E.V.E.L. responses if/when peers disclose victimization.
4. Enroll/engage 50 or more underserved youth survivors and victims, ages 11-14, in Real Talk Peer Support Groups in counties across the state.
5. Engage 50 or more personnel from collaborating schools and youth serving organizations to activate Coordinated Community Responses, protocols, and/or policies to address domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking against youth. (Schools and population specific organizations engaged in Coordinated Community Response Teams will demonstrate an improvement from “no policy” to “adequate” or from “adequate” to “comprehensive” policy for youth IPV prevention and response.)
This position is funded by a GOYFF STOP Grant through December 31, 2024. Continuation of this position is dependent upon continued grant funding and achievement of the output and outcome goals outlined in the grant contracts.
