What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Sales, Bloomberg Government position at Bloomberg Industry Group?
Responsible for driving excellence in talent, tactics, and operations throughout BGOV's sales team.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Drives excellence in sales execution; conducts regular performance and pipeline reviews to identify bottlenecks for each sales professional.
- Provides training, development, guidance, and advice to staff.
- Ensures the delivery of individualized and group coaching sessions on closing skills, cold calling, networking, meeting management, solution / consultative sales, negotiations, enterprise sales, objection handling, and any other skill gaps identified during pipeline reviews.
- Delivers continuous improvement in BGOV sales operations.
- Recommends, approves, and implements policies, procedures, and schedules for BGOV sales team.
- Develops and implements strategies and programs related to sales.
- Manages team in the successful attainment of goals, business planning and reporting, CRM management and operations, organizational structure within the sales team, direct sales, cost management, and related issues.
- Develops qualitative and quantitative indicators for sustainable performance.
- Attracts, develops, motivates, and retains high-end B2B sales talent.
- Makes recommendations concerning employment, terminations, performance, and other personnel actions.
- Plans, organizes, distributes, and coordinates the flow of work.
- Ensures corporate and other applicable policies, procedures, and schedules are followed.
- Commands the respect and shapes the behavior of high end sales professionals.
- Attends local networking events as a representative of BGOV.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
