Bloomberg Connects is a rapidly growing, free platform that helps museums, galleries, and cultural spaces make their institutions, stories and dynamic content more engaging to audiences around the world. Launched in 2019, Connects features multimedia guides with unique content exclusive to each of our over 800 cultural institution partners across 33 countries.

What's in it for you?
You will work alongside cultural partners at a global scale and build the tools and features to allow them onboard their unique content into our content management system. This position will be instrumental in helping facilitate all the rich art and cultural content into one system that is driving the Bloomberg Connects product. As our global product continues to scale, you will be given the unique opportunity to grow your technical skills and take on challenges while working closely alongside our multiple cross-functional teams.
We'll trust you to:
Collaborate effectively as a vital part of our diverse team, working alongside other engineers, such as the visitor experience and data team, and alongside other teams within Bloomberg outside the Connects product
Take responsibility for the CMS, API, and provide support to both cultural partners and our internal partner managers and marketing team
Demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for working with cultural institutions and making their content accessible to a global audience
Proactively solve problems and find creative solutions
You'll need to have:
5 years of professional experience with Javascript and React for responsive web development, as well as backend services like Node JS & SQL
A degree such as Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience in a related technological field
We'd love to see:
2 years of professional experience working with cloud/devops (e.g. AWS, docker, kubernetes)
Experience writing clean code and comprehensive tests
Experience being collaborative and effective in working with cross-functional teams, including non-technical stakeholders and designers
Experience working with strict typing in TypeScript
Experience working with localization
Experience with accessibility needs
Enthusiasm about mentorship and being a supportive team member
Salary Range = 00 USD Annually Benefits Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
