We are responsible for driving the strategy across our real estate portfolio, facilities and workplace experience operations, employee’s collaboration and technology solutions, employee support desk and the supply chain.
Bloomberg LP is seeking a Workplace Space and Occupancy Planner to join the team in its New York headquarters. In this role, you will provide tactical and strategic space planning expertise in support and coordination all of the physical movements of Bloomberg’s populations. The position will be responsible for planning desk space scenarios, developing large scale site/campus stacking plans, updating internal space management systems for occupancy and expense tracking, and managing project-based employee movements within Bloomberg’s offices.

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.

We’ll Trust You To
- Manage occupancy and space planning for all 46 Americas offices for over 13,500 employees
- Create stacking documentation and options based on business needs and requests
- Create/plan move phasing documentation that details how large move projects will be broken down and completed
- Manage stakeholder relationships – Building trust and rapport, problem solving, willingness to help while setting expectations and delivering on those expectations
- Key stakeholder engagement which includes: Solving space constraints, requests for co-location, reorganizations for all departments in BLP, and communication with internal support stakeholders and external department stakeholders on upcoming move projects
- Oversee IWMS (Tririga) system management which includes: floor plan updates (via AutoCAD), space and move data. This can also include preparing proposed floor plan layouts, operational project floor plan layouts, and event space layouts
- Manage all reporting, KPIs and metrics relating to space and occupancy
- Embrace continuous improvement and/or automation of current occupancy and space processes
- Support broader space management projects and initiative
- Interact with key senior leaders, business partners, and vendors
- Adjust plans to accommodate change requests
- Find creative solutions to common issues
- Communicate updates to internal customers
- Provide leadership to partners and vendors
- Ability to multitask and deal with changing priorities and/or requirements
- Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
- Experience with IWMS/space management software
- Proficiency in architectural and engineering drawings, concepts & design
- Willingness to work nights and weekends as required supporting moves
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal relationship skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and related tools
- Flexibility and a positive attitude
- 3 years of work experience in facilities space and occupancy management
- Experience working with Tririga
- Project management expertise/certification
