We are seeking an experienced reporter to join our new consumer technology news team. This person will handle day-to-day news coverage of consumer devices and software from the world's largest technology companies, including Meta, Amazon, Google, Apple, Samsung and Huawei. We're looking for a high-energy, ambitious reporter with an extraordinary and relentless obsession for breaking news.
Your job is to find out what new devices and features are coming down the pike and deliver this information to our customers with speed, accuracy and sharp insights. You will also be tasked with news coverage of smaller public hardware companies, including Sonos, Peloton and Garmin.
You'll need to have deep knowledge of the inner workings of these companies, as well as the ability to develop sources inside and adjacent to them. The role will also require you to keep tabs on major software updates for iOS, Android and other major platforms, including those from autonomous vehicle companies.

This position can be based in either San Francisco or New York.
