What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cybersecurity Reporter position at Bloomberg?
THE ROLE:
We are looking for a curious, resourceful and ambitious reporter to help us shine light on the murky world of hacking. This reporter will break news on business-crippling cyberattacks, spot emerging security threats, profile the hackers behind the most devastating attacks and chronicle efforts by governments and industries to combat the crime.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is skilled at developing sources in the most unexpected places, collaborating with colleagues to own breaking news cycles and unearthing details that will deepen our readers' understanding of the ever-evolving space of cybersecurity. The successful candidate should be able to unpack complicated topics quickly, deliver clean and focused copy and pitch and execute well on high-impact enterprise stories.
This reporter will join an award-winning team chronicling cyber threats just as attacks are set to hit record levels. In this role, you will keep in close touch with sources who are tracking this surge to drive scoops and richly reported, inside-the-room features on how cyberattacks unfold.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Salary Range: 115,000 - 140,000 USD Annually Benefits Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
