The Bloomberg News team in San Francisco is looking for an individual with a proactive attitude who is focused, flexible, and proficient in several aspects of broadcast operations. This individual will be expected to provide coverage in several technical positions to work collaboratively in control room and LIVE studio environments. They will be required to work with on-air talent and editorial teams, as well as their New York counterparts to ensure a quality visual presentation.
This multi-skilled operator will be expected to have timely and thorough communication skills. This position also includes maintaining the SF studio and coordinating the SF crew's schedule. You will need to be able to coordinate routes, set up live studio guests and reporters, frame/shade robotic and hand-held cameras, and assist our engineering team with maintenance work. This candidate will be a key liaison between our NY and SF teams and offices.
Requirements for the role:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Knowledge of audio mixing workflows
A2 & Stage managing experience
Knowledge of RTS intercom systems
Knowledge of Robotic and hand-held camera operations (Vinten, Evertz, Sony, Shotoku, or similar)
Television set lighting experience is a plus
Strong organizational and planning skills
Ability to quickly and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced LIVE broadcast environment
Acute attention to detail, and an ability to problem troubleshoot and resolve issues
Strong social skills with external high-profile guests and ability collaborate
