Bloomberg's Open Source Program Office (OSPO) is seeking a visionary and strategic technical leader to join our growing team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our open source strategy by leading critical initiatives across three core areas :
- Open Source Governance & Compliance : Further develop our comprehensive open source compliance automation framework to minimize risk and streamline workflows for our engineers. Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging trends and best practices in open source governance, ensuring Bloomberg remains at the forefront of the industry.
- Strategic Open Source Adoption : Develop and automate metrics to track the success of Bloomberg's open source initiatives, focusing on key areas like developer adoption, community engagement, and business impact. Analyze industry trends and identify strategic opportunities for open source software adoption that align with Bloomberg's overall business objectives.
- Champion Internal Adoption : Drive strategic use of open source software across Bloomberg by developing internal programs, best practices, and resources for engineers. Act as a developer advocate for open source technologies within Bloomberg. This includes building awareness, creating educational content, and fostering a community of open source contributors and leaders.
