What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting /Payroll Clerk/Order Entry position at Bloomer Machine and Fabrication?
Hands-on daily, monthly, quarterly and year-end bookkeeping and payroll functions
Administer HR Functions: Tracking vacations, tracking personal time off, and maintaining personnel files
Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximize employee moral, productivity, and efficiency and effectiveness
Invoice Processing: Reviewing and verifying invoices received from vendors, ensuring they are accurate and in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
Payment Processing: Initiating and processing payments to vendors, which may involve issuing checks, setting up electronic funds transfers, or utilizing online payment systems.
Vendor Management: Maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers, addressing any inquiries or issues related to invoices or payments, and reconciling discrepancies.
Expense management: Recording and categorizing expenses, ensuring proper allocation to appropriate accounts or cost centers.
Account Reconciliation: Reconciling accounts payable transactions with vendor statements and resolving any discrepancies.
Payroll Processing: Calculating employee wages and salaries based on hours worked, overtime, bonuses, or other applicable factors. This includes considering deductions for taxes, social security, retirement contributions, health insurance premiums, and other benefits.
Timekeeping and Attendance: Maintaining accurate records of employee attendance, leave, and absences, and incorporating this information into payroll calculations.
Benefits Administration: Managing employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, and retirement plans. This involves deducting employee contributions from payroll and coordinating with benefit providers.
Record-keeping and reporting: Maintaining organized payroll records, including employee information, earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings.
Employee Inquiries and Support: Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, tax forms, and other related matters. Providing timely and accurate information and resolving any issues or discrepancies.
System Maintenance: Overseeing and maintaining payroll software and systems, including updates, troubleshooting, and ensuring data is secure.
Order Entry : · Acknowledge customer purchase orders.
. Create work orders in Job Boss per purchase order received.
· Assist in processing orders as well as resolving issues as they arise.
· Respond to customer inquiries via phone, and email in a timely and professional manner.
· Proactively follow up with customers to ensure their needs have been met and their concerns have been resolved.
· Print and file work orders and part drawings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
