Job Summary:
In this role, the primary responsibility of the Cost of Goods Analyst at Bloomer Trailers will be to collect and input daily data on inventory parts and raw extrusion usage for trailer units in production into the DBA Manufacturing Software program. This includes gathering all necessary data to finalize the COGS report for each unit, completing month-end reports on production inventory usage, and creating Bills of Material for sub-assemblies in collaboration with Engineering to assemble parts. The Cost of Goods Analyst will also analyze financial inventory data, and assess the impact of process or method changes on overall costs. Additionally, the position involves assisting with raw material inventory system record-keeping. The Cost of Goods Analyst will explore data to generate actionable insights and support management and the purchasing department in planning efforts as needed.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Track, compile, and calculate measured materials, supplies, and parts used to build new trailers. Enter all items into the DBA system. Extract all units of materials, supplies, and parts from Supply database (DBA) then create invoices totaling cost for each trailer build.
- Track, compile, and calculate materials, supplies, and parts used for sales orders and service work. Enter all items into the DBA system. Extract all units of materials, supplies, and parts from the supply database(DBA) the crate invoices totaling cost for each sale, and service or warranty work.
- Ensure all work orders and sales orders are accounted for in balance. Create ad hoc reporting as required.
- Create work in progress totals quarterly, or as required.
- Research, create, and maintain bill of materials within DBA for assembly and subassembly builds.
- Assist with inventory process by producing work in progress units for balancing inventory totals.
- Maintain and update forms used in reporting data collection to ensure accurate coding for materials and parts used.
- Collaborate with other teams to optimize communications with workflow, and manufacturing or component changes.
- Maintain and organize all records and supporting documents for achieving work data.
Requirements:
- Excellent command of the English language
- Ambitious drive, strong individual contributor and team player
- Accounting / Finance (4 Years Required)
- Affinity for technology and a can-do attitude
- Intermediate / Advance excel, ( Power query, dashboards, Macros)
- Attention to detail. Experience with audit fundamentals.
- Strong analytical skills, organizational skills and office skills (4 Years Required)
- Experience with QuickBooks (4 Years Required)
- On-Site position (Not Remote)
