What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Respite Provider - MM position at Bloomer?
We are looking for an energetic individual to take some time to provide a fun and active experience for school age boy in the Eau Claire area.
- Respite care MUST be provided in the Eau Claire area for close proximity to home
- Childcare with aggressive and redirection behavior experience required
- Childcare students encouraged to apply!
- Mindfulness of behaviors, elopement and ability to redirect preferred
- Mentorship and companionship
**Family would prefer a male influence in his life for a caregiver, but all experienced applicants encouraged to apply!!**
Schedule:
Saturdays & Sundays - 8 hours each day
*!SATURDAYS ARE REQUIRED!*
Pay:
$14.13/hour
Job Duties:
- Active people encouraged to apply
- Mentorship - be able to also assist child and redirect successfully
- Companionship - create that bond and trust to be able to work with member
- Supervision - member can elope and we need the person to be able to have a quick response mentally and physically to be able to successfully redirect to a safe area
- Child must be the only child in respite care with provider
- Hang out with a fun kiddo - lots of activities available within community
- Be Reliable and Responsive - consistency is so important to our members and
Kids likes:
Action City & Chaos Waterpark (family has pass), Electronic/Video games (supervision a must), Animals (spends time at Trinity Equestrian), Harry Potter, Hiking & Geocaching, Pokémon & is involved with the local Boy Scouts.
Job Requirements:
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Criminal/Caregiver background check
- Compassionate individual with childcare experience
- Driver's License with a clean driving record of at least 5 years a Must
- Reliable transportation to and from work

CDCN’s role is to assist the Member or Managing Party in recruiting a Direct Care Worker. The Member or Managing Party has the sole authority to hire or dismiss any potential Direct Care Worker.
