Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager to oversee and elevate the dining and beverage experience for our esteemed club members. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for exceptional service, a deep knowledge of food and beverage offerings, and the ability to lead a dedicated team in providing outstanding service across all areas of the club. The F&B Manager will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to design and execute a seamless and refined dining experience, focusing on enhanced beverage offerings, wine pairings, and bespoke cocktails.
Key Responsibilities
- Dining Experience Management: Ensure the delivery of an exceptional dining experience for members by maintaining high service standards in all dining areas of the club. Provide leadership and guidance to staff to enhance member satisfaction and dining quality.
- Staff Management: Oversee and manage the F&B serving staff for all areas of the club, ensuring they are well-trained, professional, and consistently provide excellent service. Conduct regular staff meetings, training, and performance evaluations to maintain top-tier service.
- Banquet & Event Support: Collaborate with the event and banquet teams to support the seamless execution of member events, private parties, and club-hosted banquets. Assist in customizing menu and beverage offerings for special events to elevate the experience for members and guests.
- Beverage Experience & Innovation: Focus on enhancing the club’s beverage offerings by working closely with the Executive Chef to create curated wine pairings and collaborating with mixologists to develop unique and creative cocktails. Ensure that the beverage offerings complement the menu and provide a memorable experience for members.
- Inventory & Ordering: Manage beverage inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained, orders are placed promptly, and items are stored properly. Track and manage costs while working with vendors to ensure the highest quality products are used.
- Operational Support: Assist in all areas of the club when needed, including set-up, serving, bartending, and other operational duties. Provide hands-on support during busy periods and special events to maintain efficiency and ensure seamless service.
- Member Engagement: Build relationships with club members, soliciting feedback and ensuring that their expectations are consistently met or exceeded. Proactively anticipate needs and work to personalize the member dining experience.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a food and beverage setting, preferably in a private club or fine dining establishment.
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, and cocktail pairings.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, train, and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with members and staff alike.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the club’s event schedule.
