We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality dental care to children, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout their dental visits. Your expertise in pediatric dentistry will help foster a positive experience for our young patients while promoting good oral health practices.

Duties

• Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for pediatric patients.
• Educate children and their guardians on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
• Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on specific needs.
• Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with dentists to provide four-handed dentistry during procedures, enhancing efficiency and patient comfort.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, documenting treatment plans, progress, and any concerns.
• Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and general dentistry practices to provide comprehensive care.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pediatrics or a strong desire to work with children in a dental setting.
• Knowledge of infection control systems and protocols relevant to dental hygiene.
• Familiarity with dental assisting tasks is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children and their families.
• Ability to demonstrate patience and empathy while working with young patients.
