Gardening and Decor Lead Associate
Blooming Hill Farm is looking for someone to help with maintaining the gardens and decorating the event space and restaurant. We are located on 1251 Route 208 between Monroe and Washingtonville. Our restaurant and wedding venue is located on an operating farm. You must be able to work in hot, cold and inclement weather conditions, and be able to lift 40lbs.
Compensation is starting at $20 per hour with room for growth. This is a part time position with a schedule of roughly 32 hours a week, Monday - Thursday, usually 9-5, but some days we may start earlier or finish later if necessary due to weather or events at the farm.
Responsibilities include:
- Foraging and gathering wild flowers
- Decorating event space with foraged plants and flowers
- Maintaining cut flower garden
- Monitoring the health of all plants and greenscapes
- Caring for indoor plant collection
- Watering and feeding plants
- Weeding and mulching
- Using gardening tools
A knowledge of regional plant life and indoor house plant care is a must. Please bring relevant portfolio of your work, that displays your aesthetic. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
