Job Description

Our customers have come to deeply appreciate our upbeat, helpful, kind and welcoming atmosphere. We pride ourselves in keeping our sales floor clean, organized and smelling good. Our Pricing Specialists / Processors represent the “service” side of our business. Processors are responsible for onboarding new consignors, taking in consignments, sorting and pricing incoming goods. They are trained to determine prices based on broader and local market value, condition, and desirability. Having existing knowledge of brands, prices and fashion trends are especially helpful in this position. People who love shopping in general, are avid thrift shoppers or resellers often excel in this type of position. This position is 25% customer-facing and 75% behind the scenes. Ideally, we are looking for a team player, a "do-er", an "I can figure this out" kind of person. Someone who stays positive throughout an entire shift and is willing to learn. We can teach how to price goods, and hang clothing but it's nearly impossible to teach how to keep a positive attitude, take initiative and take pride in your work. The person hired for this position must be comfortable working online, is an efficient typer & can manage their time effectively.
Duties
- Learn and understand our consignment process inside and out
- Onboard new consignors
- Sort consignment drop offs
- Pay special attention to flaws in goods (stains, rips, pulls, chips, cracks, etc)
- Kindly communicate with consignors in person, over the phone and through email
- Research resale and/or msrp prices of goods
- Determine tag prices for the store
- Learn about customers’ fashion wants through active listening
- Organize and manage inventory
- Assist with store displays
Requirements
- Able to work independently and take initiative as necessary, required
- Able to problem-solve and troubleshoot independently, required
- General keyboard skills, required
- Comfortable using Google suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, etc), required
- Comfortable navigating and researching the internet, required
- Knowledge of fashion trends, brands and styles is helpful
- Expected to learn our POS system
- Can stand for long periods of time
- Can lift over 25 pounds with confidence
Other important information
- Approximately 20 hrs per week
- Starting $16 with the opportunity for pay increases as new responsibilities are learned and mastered
- Schedules are made monthly; we can be flexible on days worked but we expect it remain consistent each week. We expect all team members to share in working weekends
- 4 or 8 hour shifts available
- Store hours: Tue-Sat 10-6 & Sun 10-4. Team members are expected to share in weekend shifts. Additionally, we open on Mondays in the summer and team members are expected to share those additional shifts.
