Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team for Saturday shift. As the Saturday Sales Associate, you will be responsible for engaging with customers, either by telephone call ins or walk ins, to assist them in product selection, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for retail sales. You will also assist the Saturday Delivery person with mapping deliveries, loading the van as needed, and rescheduling unavailable deliveries on Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits effectively.
- Utilize upselling techniques to enhance the customer experience and maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to assist customers accurately.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Supervise stock levels and assist in inventory management to ensure product availability.
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or concerns via phone.
- Ensure the sales floor is well-organized, clean, and visually appealing to enhance the shopping experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or a similar role is required.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with customers effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling procedures is an advantage.
- Ability to demonstrate products confidently and persuasively to potential customers.
- A proactive approach to upselling and promoting additional products or services.
- Attention to detail in stock management and maintaining store presentation standards.
