Job Description
Under the direction of the Aquatics Supervisor/Coordinator, the Cabana Crew is responsible for the Pool Deck and Front Gate area, which includes balancing the cash drawer and checking in patrons for the pool.
Responsible to the Aquatics Supervisor/Coordinator.
· Must be at least 15 years old.
· A valid driver’s license is required.
· Experience in sales and cash register is preferred.
· Must have a positive attitude and willingness to provide exceptional customer service to all patrons entering The Oasis.
· First Aid/CPR/AED Certification preferred.
· Organization/computer skills required.
Essential Functions
· Operate the cash register, make change, and issue receipts.
· Keep attendance and other records as required.
· Maintain control of lobby area.
· Enforce all pool rules and regulations.
· Responsible for cleaning assigned by the Pool Manager.
· Have total working and functional knowledge of all equipment related to the position of gate and grounds keeping.
· Maintain cleanliness and order in the dressing and shower areas.
· Sell merchandise.
· Keep the area in order and perform necessary cleaning.
· Inform supervisor of merchandise to be ordered.
Marginal Functions
· Other duties as assigned.
The position of Cabana Crew is a part time position and is paid every two weeks at an agreed salary. The position is classified as a non-exempt hourly employee status and will work 1-25 hours per week. The hours worked daily will vary. The pay range for this position is $14-$14.50/hr if under age 18. If 18 , the position pay range is $15-$15.50/hr. Inside, the Cabana Crew is exposed to high humidity and various degrees Fahrenheit temperature. Outside, the Cabana Crew may also be exposed to the weather conditions, which can include cold, rain, and extreme heat.
The Cabana Crew must be able to follow instructions from supervisors and co-workers. The Cabana Crew must be able to give instructions to co-workers. The Cabana Crew must be safety conscientious and always use good judgment.
· Works closely with co-workers.
· Must work around the public.
· Must work under supervision and direction of supervisors.
· May have to work under stressful situations when first aid and CPR are required.
The Cabana Crew works in a climate of various degrees Fahrenheit and high humidity.
