Bloomington Developmental Learning Center is looking to expand our support staff team. As a support staff at BDLC, you would work alongside our full-time teachers in infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms. This is a wonderful part-time position for college students focusing on Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Psychology, Human Development and Family Studies, and more! Your main responsibilities would be assisting the full-time teachers in the health and safety aspects of the daily care of children ages 6 weeks to five years old, as well as assisting with our play-based, child-led developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Our available shifts for support staff are Monday through Friday 8-10:30am, 1-3pm, and 3-6pm.
BDLC is open Monday through Friday. This is a great opportunity for those who like to have their evenings, weekends, and holidays free!
BDLC is a non-profit childcare center with a wonderful sense of community. We have strong views and beliefs regarding the connection between adults and young children. Duties
Supporting our full-time teachers in the following areas:
- Physical care of young children: diapering, toilet learning support, hand washing, cleaning up after meals, etc.
- Social and emotional care of young children: bonding with young children, supporting them through conflict and challenging emotions, engaging with them in play
Requirements
HS Diploma. Must be willing to complete TB test, drug screen, and fingerprint background check.
