Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Optometric Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing exceptional eye care services and support the daily operations of our optometry clinic.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and assist with check-in procedures
- Perform preliminary tests such as measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and other vital signs
- Assist with frame selection, lens measurements, and adjustments
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support optometrists during examinations and minor procedures
- Handle retail sales of eyewear and contact lenses
- Process insurance claims and perform basic medical coding
- Assist in managing the optical laboratory and inventory
Qualifications
- Experience in a clinical or retail setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and optical concepts
- Familiarity with senior care practices is a plus
- Proficiency in handling sales transactions and retail management
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
