Wedding Florist Assistant

Job Overview:

Blooms & Backdrops LLC is a premium flower arch rental business on a mission to bridge the gap between sustainability and luxury in the wedding industry! We rent out high-end arch installations that look and feel fresh, so brides don't need to compromise on cost to get a gorgeous wedding arch for their special day. Blooms & Backdrops is seeking an assistant to help with floral designing.

Responsibilities:

• Designing garden and organic style centerpieces, bouquets, aisle flowers, and arches for rental inventory.
• Transporting flower arrangements to wedding venues in the tri-state area (must be comfortable driving up to 100 miles for wedding day setups)
• Assisting with setup & breakdown of flower installations on wedding days
• Interacting professionally and courteously with clients and venue staff during setup days
• Ensure arrangements are presented perfectly for brides

Requirements:

• Experience in floristry or related field, with a strong understanding for flower arrangement techniques and design principles
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as required by wedding schedules
• Ability to mange time efficiently to meet setup deadlines
• Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• High school diploma or equivalent required
