Floral Assistant

Blooms is looking to add some hilarious, hardworking, pet-loving folks to our team! Our Floral Assistants are quick on their feet and ready to learn so we can keep the shop moving both for daily deliveries & when bringing our couples’ beautiful wedding dreams to life!

Applicants with no experience would be at the lower range of the hourly wage and people with floral experience would be in the higher range.

This is a fast-paced, position and we’re looking for candidates who love flowers & weddings, but also those who love coffee runs, plant jokes, desserts and dance parties!

• You have an eye for art, design and/ or color theory.
• You’re willing to do any job (no matter how big or small) to support the team!
• You have an interest in floral design & are eager to learn and create in the Blooms style.

• You’re a social media whiz that wants to capture/ promote our work to current (and future!) customers.

Potential Responsibilities Include:

• Keeping our shop organized, clean and a place we all love to hang out
• Answering phone calls & helping customers place order for daily deliveries
• Taking photos & creating social media content (Facebook & Instagram posts, Reels, Pinterest)
• Putting notes from bridal consultations into our proposal form
• Learning plant varieties and care requirements to keep our in-store stock looking *beautiful*
• Creating simple floral arrangements with training from our full-time staff
• Delivering and setting up wedding florals

Our Deal Breakers:

• Through wedding season, some weekend availability is a bonus, including Friday and Saturdays.
• We are an inclusive group and will absolute *not* tolerate hateful words or actions toward any identity. We work on gay weddings and believe BLM.
• All employees are required to follow Covid-19 safety protocols if new procedures come up.
• No one at our shop is allowed to be above any task, whether it’s answering phones, taking out the trash or doing a quick bathroom clean-up.
