Bloomsbury is looking for a customer-focused sales professional to join our US digital sales team, working with secondary schools, public libraries, and districts to support 6-12 curriculum and research with quality content and award-winning products.
The Educational Sales Specialist (ESS) position is responsible for growing our customer base within a defined territory, focusing on the east coast. The ESS works closely with district and school leaders in their territory, closing sales by helping them partner with Bloomsbury to impact student learning.

Responsibilities
- Meeting/Exceeding aggressive sales targets for new business development
- Building and maintaining customer relationships and upselling new products to current customers
- Identifying customer needs and matching them to Bloomsbury/ABC-CLIO products.
- Preparing and delivering Product Presentations & Proposals
- Tracking and reporting on sales activity and opportunities in Salesforce, including maintaining accurate pipeline reports.
- Developing and maintaining in depth market knowledge, including a strong understanding of educational needs and trends and how Bloomsbury and its competitors are positioned in the market.
- Some travel is required to attend conferences or meet with accounts on site, up to 10%.
