ELECTROMECHANICAL System Assembler
South Windsor, CT
Perform high-quality electromechanical assembly of automated test equipment in accordance with requirements and within specified timelines. Support company’s mission to provide test and measurement solutions that exemplify the world’s best professional practices, produced by a world-class team.
Responsibilities
· Read electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, technical orders, work instructions etc., to determine methods and sequences of assembly.
· Align, fit, and assemble electrical and electronic component parts into housing and/or assemblies, using hand tools, wire strippers, power tools, fixtures, templates, etc.
· Manufacture custom cable assemblies and cable harnesses.
· Detect and inspect for defects in materials and work performed.
· Operate metalworking machines to fabricate or modify housings, jigs, fittings and fixtures.
· Utilize digital multimeter for measurements.
· Maintain scheduled and expected progress of assigned jobs.
· Communicate problem areas and/or part shortages.
· Attend and actively participate in meetings and trainings.
· Maintain and clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
· Minimum of 5 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience.
· Ability to understand and follow manufacturing drawings and instructions.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Solder and crimp to industry standards (IPC-620, J-STD-0001).
· Lift 40-50lbs. on a regular basis.
· Communicate effectively in all written and verbal formats (speech, writing, reading).
· Able to interact and contribute in a small team environment and ability to flex according to production demands.
· Knowledge of ISO9001:2015.
· Work overtime as required.
Location
Company office in South Windsor, CT with occasional travel within the Northeast, United States.
