Blossman Gas & Appliance in Knoxville, TN seeks an experienced Gas Pipefitter for an opportunity at our growing location in the Maryville, TN area. We are experiencing market expansion in the Knoxville area so actively looking for a qualified Gas Piping / Pipefitter to do regular commercial and residential installations in the Blount, Knox, Loudon, and Sevier County areas. The daily duties will involve sizing, connecting, and placement of gas pipe while working within a small, dedicated installation team. Our Gas Piping professionals regularly install new gas piping systems, as well as aid in the installation of gas appliances such as fireplaces, water heaters, gas cooking, laundry, standby generators, and more. All of this supports Blossman Gas' mission to make customer lives more comfortable.
This is a great position for someone who has prior piping, plumbing or other mechanical experience OR attends a trade program and would enjoy working / learning locally to add to their professional knowledge. A positive attitude is key, we can teach you the gas business. These positions can lead to new opportunities in time following training and meeting our standards. The position preferences are :
- 3 years or more of Gas Piping experience; some consideration also given to Apprentice-level for those who do not possess the work experience
- Strong mechanical ability / aptitude and knowledge of hand / piping tools
- A desire to meet or exceed customer expectations which include professional / organized / tidy installations of gas piping systems
- Be a contributing member of a team environment while championing Blossman's core line of products and services
- Working outside and routinely bending, lifting, and pulling objects weighing 50 lbs. without assistance.
- A strong commitment to safety, consistent with company policy, is a must.
