Community Engagement Coordinator

Job Overview
The Head of Community Engagement will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships between our organization and the community. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that enhance community involvement, promote our programs, and support volunteer initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for community service, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Duties

• Develop and implement community engagement strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Oversee volunteer management, including recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to ensure effective program delivery.
• Lead public speaking engagements to promote community programs and initiatives.
• Conduct research data collection to assess community needs and measure program impact.
• Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely execution and evaluation of outcomes.
• Collaborate with local organizations, businesses, and stakeholders to enhance community partnerships.
• Develop programs that address community needs while promoting organizational objectives.
• Provide administrative support related to community engagement activities, including reporting and documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in volunteer management and project management.
• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
• Excellent public speaking abilities with experience in engaging various audiences.
• Proficient in research data collection methods and analysis to inform decision-making.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on fostering collaboration within teams.
• Experience in recruiting volunteers and managing community programs is highly desirable.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
