Job Summary
The Intervention Specialist plays a critical role in supporting adolescent or adult by implementing effective intervention strategies tailored to individual needs while in crisis.This position involves working closely with healthcare professionals, nurses, licensed clinicians and families to promote positive behavioral changes and enhance the overall well-being of child and adults that may be in crisis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in applied behavior analysis, social work, or related fields, with a focus on interventions and therapeutic practices For IDD/MH/SA
Duties
- Conduct intake assessments to identify the specific needs of adolescent or adult.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, social workers, and educators to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide direct support to children in various settings, including crisis setting and community environments.
- Utilize medical terminology and ICD-9 coding as necessary for documentation and reporting.
- Engage in child or adult resources to find appropriate care to address emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Collect and analyze research data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and progress towards goals.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience working with children and adults clinical or educational settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis techniques and principles.
- Familiarity with psychotherapy methods and patient care standards.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to child health services.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
