Our clients come to therapy for issues related to Speech Sound Disorders (Articulation & Phonology, Language Disorders, fluency, Early Language Development (Late Talkers), Oral Motor & Myofunctional Therapy, Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) and feeding.

This is an in-person position. You will have access to a renovated and beautifully furnished practice in Tumwater, WA

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities
Therapy & Intervention
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions in a our clinic setting,
- Use play-based and evidence-based interventions tailored to the child’s developmental level.
- Address a wide range of communication disorders including articulation, phonological delays, apraxia, language delays, stuttering, and social communication difficulties.
- Treat feeding and oral motor difficulties if within the SLP's scope of practice.
- Implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems when needed.
- Adjust therapy plans as the child progresses, ensuring family-centered care.
Family Education & Support
- Provide parent coaching and training on speech and language strategies for home practice.
- Offer guidance on carryover strategies to promote progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Educate caregivers about typical vs. delayed development, early intervention benefits, and prognosis.
Administrative & Business Responsibilities
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and documentation.
- Stay updated on best practices, licensing requirements, and continuing education.
- Manage and organize a high volume of information with meticulous attention to detail.Quickly gain and maintain rapport with your patients and their families.
- Implement treatment plans executed with a high degree of efficiency without sacrificing quality.
- Handle administrative tasks with precision and speed, ensuring no detail is overlooked.
- Utilize various methods and techniques under the umbrella of play therapy to maximize patient engagement and progress.
- Support families with clear communication, an organized plan each session and appropriate objectives for the family post visit.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children, families, and a collaborative team.
- Strong proficiency in time management and communicative skills - spoken and written.
- Reliable and accountable to yourself, patients and their families. Upholding a high personal moral standard.
