What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Lead Teacher position at Blossoms Childcare?
Blossoms Childcare is expanding and we are looking for self motivated, creative, innovative leaders and teachers who share in our philosophy!
We are specifically looking for an experienced infant lead to run our infant classroom at our main center or in one of our in-home daycare locations
Thriving Children
We believe that children learn to be independent by being secure in the dependability of their caregivers. We will always give love and challenge the children to expand their capabilities to be self sufficient. We always give children a voice, by listening to them through words and actions, giving validation to the importance of what they are feeling and giving a name to their feelings.
Supported Families
Supported families are a critical component to our childcare. We work together as a team and as part of each family's community to help support all who come to us. The entire family and their story is each child's "village", and so is equally important to us to help us better understand and to help each child navigate through life!
Empowered Teachers
Empowered teachers and staff is the key to creating a cohesive and supportive environment for our children and each other. A Child Care Center Lead Teacher is directly responsible for the care and education of children and must provide developmentally appropriate early childhood education and ensure a safe learning environment. The Lead Teacher must demonstrate competency to observe and assess children's development, plan children's curriculum based on child development knowledge, design the learning environment, implement and supervise developmentally appropriate learning activities, build positive relationships with children, plan guidance strategies for children, involve parents, and honor differences.
OUR PROGRAM
We are a play based center, which also includes a basic developmentally appropriate curriculum that is provided for each classroom as a foundational guideline only for continuity between the various classrooms. Teachers are HIGHLY encouraged to adapt this flexible curriculum to fit their style and accommodate the various developmental skill levels of the children in their class.
We have a private Facebook page so part of your job description is to post pictures, activities and experiences the children are having. Our parents and extended families look forward to connecting with their child via the Facebook page every day! This is a small, but critical element that we believe helps us connect and support our families in yet another way.
This job is a tough, but a rewarding one. Teaching our future can be a daunting task and we want every one of our teachers to know they are supported, appreciated, and cherished. We are looking for people who believe that making a difference starts with the children in our care and those who take this responsibility very seriously. If you’re a teacher at heart, really want to make a difference and believe in always doing what’s right, we look forward to hearing from you!
