Summary – The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the marketing team in all phases of internal and external marketing initiatives. This includes but is not limited to promotional campaigns, omnichannel content and advertising, branded content development, item set-up, coupons, analytics, print/digital ads, consumer insights/research and assisting in initiatives such as mock-up creation and other help as needed. This role will open the opportunity to join a growing and newly focused department at Blount and be an intro into the food marketing business and process of promotion at the grocery store level. This person will collaborate with other members of the marketing, corporate and communications teams along with assisting in marketing, sales and corporate activities and projects
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Online Grocery – Deep dive analysis including retailer site audits, content review and updates, trend identification and competitor analysis along with continued improvement based on findings and trends
- Content Development – Work with brand and graphic teams to develop and create content grounded in consumer insights
- Portals and Systems – Explore, understand and take action using systems for product launch content, and ongoing product management/updates
- Coupon development and reporting – Become the coupon portal and creation expert in both development and reporting
- Campaign and Vendors Execution – Assist in managing ad and promo partners and coordinating campaign executions and reporting
- Consumer Expert – Be an expert in consumer-focused data research and profiles to better enhance the teams overall marketing and product development efforts
- Partnerships – Project assistance with licensed product brand partners and advertising partnerships across campaigns, product develop and other ongoing projects
- Trends - Identify and track emerging trends in the categories which Blount competes with. (Soups, mac and cheese, chili, prepared meals, flatbread pizza and others.)
- Competition - Ongoing competitive analysis to maintain Blount’s competitive advantages.
- Monitor and track retail penetration of new items across Blount’s, competitive and industry trending items
- Sales team support – Assisting in preparation of marketing materials and information for sales team and retail account needs such as point-of-sale materials (POS) development, item information and other data as needed
- Other responsibilities with similar skill, work conditions, and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related experience. MBA or 1-3 years’ experience a plus.
- Excellent MS Office Skills (specifically PowerPoint and Excel)
- Knowledge or proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Canva and working knowledge of Photoshop and/or Illustrator a plus.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow.
