- JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for prompt, accurate, and nutritious food service to patients and sanitary food handling. Will assemble meals as part of the trayline team, will deliver food carts to proper areas of hospital, will maintain knowledge about dietary restrictions for all major patient diet categories, Will also learn and assist with all Utility Tech responsibilities.
- JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and/or experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1-3 years of food service (healthcare or otherwise) preferred, or equivalent time in task oriented and time sensitive experiences.
Knowledge: Working knowledge of proper food handling methods and personal hygiene. Able to demonstrate prior knowledge of standard healthcare dietary categories and restrictions, or complete and demonstrate competency in BMH Dietary Manual within 1 month of hire.
Skills: Sanitary food handling skills are required. Good written and oral communication skills, and strong time management skills must be demonstrated upon hire.
Abilities: Ability to learn and remember special and modified diets for patients. Ability to work well with others. Ability to work well independently and also work efficiently as part of a team is required.
