What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide (PRN) position at Blountstown Health and Rehabilitation Center?
POSITION SUMMARY
The DIETARY AIDE provides assistance in all dietary functions to ensure residents’ dining needs
are met in accordance with all laws, regulations, and Company standards. Reports to Director of
Food and Nutrition Services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Must be able to communicate and function in an interdisciplinary team.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such
action.
- Must possess willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional
personnel.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must practice dependable, regular attendance.
- Must be able to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
- Must be knowledgeable of dietary services practices and procedures as well as the laws,
regulations, and guidelines governing dietary services functions in the long-term care
facility.
- Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies,
and procedures of the Food and Nutrition Services department.
- Must be able to assist in daily cleaning duties. (i.e., sweeping, dishwashing, mopping).
- Must be able to serve meals and snacks in a timely manner.
- Must be able to properly set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc.
- Must be able to deliver food carts and trays and remove them when meal is finished.
- Must understand and follow company policies, including harassment and complaint
procedures.
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
SKILLS and ABILITIES
Education : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience : No prior experience necessary
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
