About the Role

At Bloxley, financial precision is at the core of how we operate and grow. We’re searching for an Accountant who thrives on detail, accuracy, and solving complex financial challenges. This role is perfect for someone with a strong understanding of US accounting principles and the ability to adapt to the fast-paced world of fintech.

As our Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of a US-based company, ensuring compliance with US regulations, and providing actionable insights to help Bloxley scale 🚀. You’ll be instrumental in supporting decision-making through precise financial reporting and analysis.

What You’ll Be Doing

📊 Financial Management & Reporting

• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial statements, reports, and records.

• Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closings to ensure timely reporting.

• Analyzing financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.

💼 Compliance & Taxation

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant US financial regulations, including GAAP standards.

• Preparing and submitting US tax returns while identifying opportunities for tax optimization.

• Managing audits and liaising with external auditors to ensure accuracy and transparency.

🔍 Budgeting & Forecasting

• Developing budgets and forecasts to guide strategic planning and resource allocation.

• Monitoring actual performance against budgeted figures, identifying variances, and recommending corrective actions.

🤝 Collaboration & Support

• Working closely with other departments to provide financial insights and ensure accurate cost management.

• Supporting the leadership team with ad hoc financial analysis and modeling.

What You’ll Need

🛠 Accounting Expertise

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).

• Proven experience in financial accounting and management, preferably in US-based companies or fintech.

• Strong knowledge of US accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.

📐 Analytical & Technical Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Excel.

• Ability to analyze complex data sets and present findings clearly.

• Familiarity with financial tools and systems for reporting and budgeting.
