ABOUT THE ROLE: Reporting to the Chief Creative Officer, you will lead the operations of Blu Dot's creative team, inclusive of design, editorial, photography and brand communications. In this role you will ensure that budgets, schedules, tools, processes, and most importantly, people, are strategically aligned and intelligently deployed to enable the development of impactful creative that meets company goals. You will serve as a critical representative of, and advocate for, the creative team with a range of cross-functional partners both inside and outside the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, and lead clear and effective briefing and workflow processes for the creative team. Ensure that these are adopted, followed, and maintained.
- Oversee a robust creative calendar that encompasses all brand activity-including print, digital, social, stores, media, and special events. Work with CCO and relevant stakeholders to balance deadlines and capacity planning.
- Vet and manage technology and tools to enable the above based on industry best-practices and Blu Dot standards.
- Create agendas for weekly creative team and cross-functional meetings. Drive alignment with necessary parties before, during, and after all meetings.
- Track the creative team budget under the direction of CCO and in partnership with finance. Provide strategic guidance to optimize available resources, find efficiencies, and drive impact.
- Manage contracts and invoices for external contributors.
- Promote a culture of thoughtful collaboration. Engage with key stakeholders across the organization, including CEO, finance, sales, digital, marketing, operations, and product development.
- Lead and facilitate the creative review process. Ensure that creative delivers on agreed upon goals, brand standards are met, objectives realized, and best practices implemented.
- Develop relevant and meaningful goals and objectives in relation to the above. Foster a culture of curiosity, exploration, and continuous learning and improvement.
- Manage creative operations staff.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS*:
- 10 years in brand design, marketing project management or creative operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to think strategically and see around corners
- Ability to balance diverse workload
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Position is based out of Minneapolis, MN headquarters with a flexible working environment/schedule (no full-time remote work available)

Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
