BluOmega is supporting a client for a DoD project that is seeking a Zero Trust Architect to support their customer in the Columbia Maryland area, providing system engineering and architecture support to their government customer.
Responsibilities may include:
- Provide analysis, design, development, deployment, and lifecycle support for innovative hardware systems and applications.
- Develop end-to-end cost analysis for projects; ensure systems being developed comply with the enterprise technical architecture; help project and program teams prepare for Sponsor Project Management Program control gates; and keep senior management apprised of project or program status.
- Analyze and studying complex system requirements.
- Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.
- Apply business process improvement practices to re-engineer methodologies and principles and business process modernization projects.
- Assist in establishing standards for information systems procedures.
- Develop block diagrams and logic flow charts. Translate detailed design into computer software.
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, cost estimation, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Perform strategic systems planning, business information planning, business and analysis.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of executive order 14028 and NSM-8
- Zero Trust Architecture (National Security System and DOD reference architectures)
- IT roadmap and implementation planning
- IC Directives, Policy, and Standards, to include NIST Standards
- NIST 800-53, CN_SSI 1253, and ICD 503 security controls
- Integrating full IT stack technologies across global enterprise computer systems and networks
- Cloud architecture and technologies
- Cyber Security architecture, concepts, and standards
- Classified and unclassified multi-cloud and multi-fabrics landscapes
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to convey ambiguous and complex ideas and information on technical/administrative mission-related issues in a well-organized, logical, understandable, credible, and courteous manner that is appropriate for the situation, topic, and listener
- Ability to communicate persuasively and influence without authority, navigating stakeholder equities and areas of authority to facilitate and advise and build bridges as needed while demonstrating respect for others equities and views, including in politically charged or sensitive discussions
- Process oriented; ability to work collaboratively
- Organizational, collaboration and interpersonal skills to effectively complete tasks ability to collaborate across and with executive offices.

- Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- Minimum of 10 years experience
Desire Qualifications:
- Master s degree in Information Systems, or Bachelor s degree with equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as information systems design and architecture
- Minimum of 10 years experience including at least 5 years experience with the Sponsor

Salary : $160,000 - $180,000
