Trimmer/Packager

JOB PURPOSE / SUMMARY

During the work day each trimmer’s goal is to achieve at least 794 grams (1 pound) of high-quality cannabis. Packagers must also keep a high pace and work towards set goals. Every employee will maintain a positive vibe and professionalism while conducting their set task throughout the work day. All employees are required to handle the flower according to our standards for what the buyer sees fit. Employees are to organize and maintain a clean workspace throughout and at the end of each work day.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Trimmers are responsible for the basic hand trimming of the cannabis flower that comes from the cannabis plant.

· Employees are to separate the flower into different categories

· Trimmers are required to trim 794 grams per day, if that crop is sufficient

· Trimmers also help with removal and storage of barrels from dry room to trim room and back at the end of each trim day

· Employees must keep a steady work pace and flow throughout the day

· Employees must comply with company policies as well as all state, local regulations and OSHA safety standards and practices

· Employees are to keep highest Blue Arrow standards, which is higher than the industry calls for

· Employees are to organize and maintain a clean workspace

· Employees are to clean all equipment and the facility once trimming has commenced

· At the end of the day when we weigh out and record data

INFORMATION RESOURCES

As a Cultivator you will be given resources that will intel the proper standard operating procedure (SOP) for specific jobs/tasks. As well as other resources that may need to be studied in order of advancement.

PHYSICAL EFFORT

The Post Harvest department is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching all day. The physical requirements described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of this job. Regularly required to do the following activities:

· Extensive walking throughout expansive greenhouse environment.

· Standing for long periods without a break.

· Ability to lift 30 to 40 pounds and carry a distance of one hundred feet.

· Use hands to finger, handle, and/or feel; the ability to type, pick, pinch with fingers, seize, hold, grasp or turn with hands and perceive attributes of objects and materials such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with fingertips

· Maintain balance while walking, standing or crouching.

· Twist upper torso.

· Reach up and out with hands and arms.

Critical Thinking and problem solving is a major factor as a Cultivator or any position at Blue Arrow LLC. Having the ability to objectively analyze information and draw rational conclusions. Being able to evaluate and prioritize duties/task effectively in a timely manner.

- Trim and maintain plants in a landscape or garden setting
- Operate hand tools and mechanical equipment for trimming and pruning
- Assist with irrigation and watering of plants
- Collect and record data on plant growth and health
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working in a greenhouse or farm environment

```Requirements```
- Previous experience in landscaping or plant maintenance preferred
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating plant needs
- Knowledge of hand tools used for trimming and pruning
- Familiarity with greenhouse operations and growing techniques
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
