The Role of the Clinical Director (BCBA)
The Clinical Director (BCBA) oversees the clinical operations of the behavioral health program, ensuring evidence-based behavior analysis services. This role involves supervising a team of BCBAs and behavior technicians, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and implementation of individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on functional assessments.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans through data collection and analysis.
- Lead and guide the clinical team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Provide direct supervision to BCBAs and behavior technicians, ensuring adherence to ABA principles and best practices.
- Ensure the center has a structured schedule.
- Onboard new BCBA's with training and development.
Supervision and Staff Development
- Provide regular supervision and mentorship to staff, including RBTs, BCBAs, and clinical assistants.
- Conduct ongoing training and professional development for clinical team members, ensuring competency in ABA methodologies.
- Ensure all clinical staff maintain required certifications and continuing education to meet state and national standards.
- Responsible for monthly BCBA and RBT training.
- Annual reviews for the entire clinical staff.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or related field.
- Completion of BCBA supervision training.
Physical Demands
To complete the physical demands of the job, you must be able to sit frequently, stand occasionally, sit on and get up from the floor, kneel, bend, and run with children.
