Responsibilities :
Develop and revise the annual Positive Behavioral Support Plan to address maladaptive or undesired behavior for assigned members.
Implement strategies / interventions to promote independence and utilize de-escalations techniques.
Complete psychological assessments as needed.
Behavioral plans will clearly delineate the interventions, activities and expected outcomes, observe, record data and monitor implementation of therapeutic interventions / support strategies.
Review documentation and revise plan as needed to assure progress toward achievement of outcomes.
Ability to train families and support members and natural support on established behavior plan.
Conduct clinical sessions monthly or as needed, collect, and analyze behavior logs, and any other relevant information to assess the member progress.
Provide in-person support depending upon the location of the assigned member and / or tele-consultation through use of two-way, time-interactive audio and video when distance separates the care from LPA.
Ability to independently manage caseload and provide required documentation to care managers to maintain member services for annual budget.
Participate in annual plan meetings to provide clinical support for assigned members to determine needs and assess current behaviors.
Qualifications :
Education : A doctoral degree in Psychology required.
Licensing : MD state license
Skills : Strong Communication, analytical thinking, empathy, and ethical decision making are essential. Experience with various therapeutic methods and a solid understanding of mental health disorders are also critical.
