Voodoo is looking for barbacks to join our strong team. We are located on 838 Canal Street. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and reliable.

Responsibilities

A barback plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a bar. Here are some of the key responsibilities:

1. **Stocking the Bar**: Keeping the bar stocked with essential items such as glasses, garnishes, ice, liquor, beer, wine, and other beverages.

2. **Cleaning and Maintaining**: Ensuring the bar area, including counters, floors, and equipment, are clean and in good condition. This includes washing glasses and utensils.

3. **Assisting Bartenders**: Supporting bartenders by fetching ingredients, preparing garnishes, and helping with simple drink orders during busy times.

4. **Restocking Supplies**: Regularly checking and replenishing napkins, straws, stirrers, and other bar supplies.

5. **Customer Interaction**: Assisting with customer service by greeting guests, providing menus, and occasionally taking orders.

6. **Running Errands**: Performing various tasks such as refilling ice bins, taking out trash, and making sure all stations are well-prepared.

7. **Setup and Breakdown**: Helping set up the bar before opening and breaking down after closing, including putting away supplies and cleaning up.

Qualifications

*Ability to lift heavy items *21 or older *night availability 7pm-5am *day availability 9am-7pm

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $10.00 - $12.00/hour.
