What are the responsibilities and job description for the Route Supervisor position at Blue Bell Creameries?
Blue Bell Creameries is seeking a ROUTE SUPERVISOR for our Johnson, TN area.
A route supervisor’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working with territory managers to help supervise all aspects of a route sales representative’s performance in the territory;
- Periodic route work;
- Limited operations and maintenance of ice cream cabinets and route trucks;
- Assisting territory managers and branch manager with special store promotions and openings;
- Training new route sales representatives.
A CDL license is preferred but not required. If you do not have a CDL, you will be provided on the job training to obtain a Class B license with air brake endorsement. The Class B license must be obtained within 30 days after hire.
The typical hours are approximately early morning to afternoon, five days a week.
The ideal candidate is dependable, has good communication, leadership/managerial abilities and has a proven track record as a route sales representative. Obtains basic math skills, and is willing to work with frozen products.
Job Requirements
A candidate must possess the following job requirements:
- At least 21 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent degree
- Safe driving record with no more than two preventable collisions or moving violations in the past three years
- Ability to lift up to 30Lbs
- Valid Class B license with air brake endorsement
- Reliable transportation
