JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director, Cycle Count & DRP, this role is responsible for planning and maintaining the flow and inventory levels of materials to support all production areas, while minimizing the inventory investment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete ownership of supply chain for all inbound material, freight tracking, deviations, interfacing with Engineering, Purchasing and cross functional teams to avoid shortages and seek solutions to potential shortages
- Monitors scheduled deliveries and communicates directly with suppliers to ensure parts are delivered on time, which could require expedited freight and tracking to avoid supply disruptions
- Manages purchased parts inventory to reduce on-hand value, increase inventory turns, and prevent shortages
- Schedules / plans material deliveries through MRP system and provide Supplier training in use of Parts123 portal
- Responsible for maintaining clean unit targets for both body and chassis lines for assigned parts
- Assumes special assignments as directed by the Planning Team Leader or Director including backup support for team members as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
